OCEAN BEAST

Instinct rising, shaped by unseen depths

Ocean Beast speaks to the solitary journey of becoming. It reflects instinct, endurance, and the strength that rises from unseen depths.

Rooted in Taoist philosophy and inspired by forces that move beneath the surface, the collection draws on the ancient image of Kun — the great fish of the northern sea that, through distance and solitude, transforms into a vast celestial bird named Peng. It is a story not of sudden rebirth, but of long becoming: a journey shaped by time, endurance, and the courage to move beyond what one once was.

Its forms are influenced by marine life, ocean currents, and sea creatures. There is movement here — not rigid force, but flow: the rhythm of water, the pull of unseen tides, and the instinctive intelligence of life adapting beneath the surface.

What emerges is gradual rather than imposed, as if rising from an inner depth that has long been gathering beneath the surface. In this sense, Ocean Beast considers solitude not as absence, but as an essential condition of transformation.

There are journeys one cannot avoid and cannot ask another to carry. Yet it is often through such moments that endurance deepens, instinct becomes clearer, and another kind of strength begins to form.

These are stronger statement pieces — sculptural forms that hold both wildness and elegance, carrying the tension between movement and stillness, solitude and becoming.
